Does a caterpillar feel pain when it transforms into a butterfly?

A part of my skin has transformed into a butterfly. 30 hours it has taken up until now, five hours more to go, and I assure you, I have felt pain.

Never shed a tear though. Pain does not make me cry – feelings do.

So I am sure, I will also tearlessly endure the last transformation session of pain, since my butterfly, contrarily to me, is not all that emotional – yet :-)
